A former triathlete and Army nurse, I’ve been practicing yoga since 1996, teaching since 2007 and offering private yoga therapy to groups and individuals in person and online since 2014.
My strong belief is that there is no one right way to practice yoga. I’m dedicated to working with you to find the specific practices that help you achieve your goals. Some of the practices I share with students include breath work, meditation, gentle movement to increase joint mobility and active movement to build strength and stability.
I’m passionate about sharing the practices and principles of yoga because they have helped me heal, connect to purpose, meet life’s challenges, and be more present in my body, relationships and life.
I am a certified yoga therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and bring the experience of a career in nursing and health research to my teaching. I also hold a Masters of Public Health degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
